Training Objective: IFRS vs GRAP for Young Professionals
By the end of this training, participants will:

- Differentiate Between Sector Focus: Recognize the distinctions between private sector financial reporting (IFRS) and public sector financial reporting (GRAP), emphasizing accountability versus profitability.
- Explore Key Regulatory Frameworks: Learn about the governing bodies and legislative requirements enforcing IFRS and GRAP, such as the IASB and South Africa’s ASB.
- Analyze Reporting Objectives and Measurement: Understand the different financial reporting goals, including investor-focused reporting (IFRS) and public accountability (GRAP), as well as their approaches to valuation and measurement.
- Apply Knowledge to Real-World Scenarios: Develop the ability to determine when to apply IFRS or GRAP through case studies and practical exercises.
